Climbing Mount Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines, has been on my bucket list since I started hiking. So when the chance came, I thought, ‘Why not?’—knee injury and all. This was my first multi-day hike (3 days, 2 nights), and let’s just say my knees were not thrilled. But despite the uphill battles (literally), awkward limps, and endless ‘Are we there yet?’ moments, I made it to the top! Turns out, stubbornness can take you places—like 2,954 meters above sea level.
