The Showerguard system is designed to save water and the electricity or gas used to heat it by reducing the average shower time for each family member to an acceptable level.

In a family of four, reduced shower times will result in a saving of 700 - 900 liters of water a day. (A twenty minute shower can use up to 300 litres of hot water at a flow rate of 15 litres per minute.)

A seven minute shower uses 70 litres at a flow rate of 10 litres per minute, or over 300,000 litres of hot water a year, providing a saving in water use and a reduction in water heating costs.

The use of Showerguard domestically, in cosmopolitan cities will result in saving billions of litres of water each year, in addition to the savings in electricity or the gas used to heat it.
