Country dance and session tunes played at a steady speed for playing along with, in D or G, and on a D/G melodeon. Videos in this Playalong series may not always be played on a melodeon, but where I use another instrument - eg, fiddle or tenor banjo - the tunes will still be in D or G, or in both keys.
The written music for the Playalong series of tunes can be found on the Singdanceandplay website.
Also known as The Grand Parade and simply Seven Stars, The Moon and Seven Stars is a widely played jig that appeares in a variety old books and manuscripts in England, Ireland and America going back at least to the mid-18thC, and of course it may be even older.
