EDIT: I misspoke on the wave height requirements for the updated rules on crossing into Bahia del Sol. You must enter at HIGH SLACK TIDE & wave heights must be less than 1 METER (3ft) - not 2 meters!
Welcome to the scariest 30 minutes of our sailing careers. This was easily the most challenging this we've ever done - taking our 25k lb boat into, and over, 15 foot waves into El Salvador. We wouldn't wish this on anyone!
But at the same time, we feel like we're constantly expanding our boundaries and comfort zones, which is a good thing! Tag along for the ride, and hold onto something!
