Clad in crimson robes, their bodies more machine than flesh, they are the keepers of humanity’s most advanced and arcane knowledge. To the uninitiated, they are sorcerers, uttering binharic chants and invoking sacred rites over the Imperium’s war engines. To themselves, they are the chosen of the Omnissiah, the sole guardians of the divine mysteries of technology.

They build the ships that carry the Emperor’s armies across the stars, forge the weapons that hold the darkness at bay, and repair the ancient machines that keep humanity alive. They are the lifeblood of the Imperium, and for all their secrecy, all their idiosyncrasies, they are indispensable. The Imperium needs them more than it cares to admit, and so long as the Adeptus Mechanicus remains, the great war machine of humanity will continue to march forward, one clanking, oil-stained step at a time.
