How to Fix a Carburetor that Leaks Gas- Old Kobuta W5021 Walk Behind Mower | Fixit Carter
In this video I show how to properly repair a Carburetor that leaks gas. Sometimes it’s the actual fuel line, but in this case I knew otherwise. I’d already repaired the Carburator prior to making this video so I knew where the issues were.
I had already replaced the Carburetor Gaskets with new Paper Gaskets, but re-used the Rubber Gaskets hoping they’d work. Turns out they didn’t- they were too old and worn.
Next step was to order new Gaskets, which was a task in itself because the mower is older. I found both an online source and in town source for parts. If you are interested in those contacts just let me know in the comments.
This mower is a great find if you ever happen to come across one. These mowers retail at $1500- so snatch one up and get to fixing.
