YJ Jeep Wrangler Sahara Complete Teardown, How to Remove Everything!

Описание: Today in the FNJeep shop we have a 1994 YJ Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition. We will strip everything in this video, well except for the missing fender. This YJ was purchased for the sole purpose to strip for parts. And there are a lot of good parts on this one. This jeep has the IL6 4.0 engine with a small hole in the block, which is why the owner probably gave up on it. The 4.0 is mated with the AX-15 Transmission, 231 Transfer Case leading to Dana 30 & 35 axles with 3.55 gear ratio. It also has an aftermarket Rubicon Express 4 inch lift kit and a body lift as well. Manual tilt column and a full interior that has not been hacked into. This is one of the cleaner and better shaped Jeeps I have had the pleasure of taking apart in some time.
I do jump around a bit while taking these Jeeps apart, but I have put it all together and clumped them into sections.

So, I screwed up on that part. It is all about weight distribution when you strip these little Jeeps. Since I already had the engine out the front was way lighter than the rear. I normally pull the rear first, and support the frame but, the front axle did not separate from the leaf springs. So, it pulled my attention away and I got in a hurry plan and simple. DON'T BE LIKE ME!!! Pay attention and don't be an idiot.

Day 3 & 4, Interior, Dash, Tub & Frame: 34:074-1:02:49
In this section I do Jump around quite a bit. I strip the dash piece by piece and from side to side so a lot of the pieces come out in sections instead of all at once. Just makes it easier when stripping everything.

This video should work for most Jeep Wranglers, or at least give you pretty good idea. Main differences will be the fuel system will be carbureted, and some of the electronics and wiring will be different. This also came in a 4 cylinder 2.5 and the AMC 258 4.2 until 91. Transmissions that were available through the years were AX-15, AX-5, Peugeot BA-10/5 and an Auto option as well with a TF904 or TF 999. The YJ Jeep Wrangler ran for the following years:
