Join me for a summer evening walk through Tivoli, as the warm light of the season fades and the town settles into its relaxed end-of-summer rhythm. In this walk, we simply move through the streets and enjoy the atmosphere of Tivoli after sunset, letting the town speak for itself. I’ll save the descriptions of what we see for an upcoming daytime walk, so stay tuned!

Our walk begins in Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi, where lingering daylight and soft conversations fill the square. We then continue to the Punto Panoramico to watch the valley unfold beneath a sky turning gold and rose.

From there, we continue toward Piazza Santa Croce, alive with evening crowds, then along the quieter Via Trevio. At Piazza del Plebiscito, people gather with coffee or gelato while children play across the open space.

Across the square stands the compact Chiesa di San Biagio. We follow Via Palatina to Via Ponte Gregoriano, then cross the Ponte Gregoriano over the gorge carved by the Aniene River, with the illuminated Tempio di Vesta crowning the cliff ahead.

From here, we drift back toward the center, carried by Tivoli’s quiet September mood.
