Today the wifey and I took a morning day trip out to Lytle Creek to catch some fresh snow. It just rained recently, so I knew there would be clean powder on the ground. Looked like the city also bulldozed and repaired the entrance to the trail, which made getting in a lot easier. Good thing we showed up early because it turned into one of the busiest weekends I’ve ever seen out there, easily over 100 rigs. This was the most congested I’ve ever seen Lytle Creek.
We kept it chill on this run since we rolled out solo. I didn’t even try heading up Coldwater Canyon because I didn’t want to risk getting stuck. Instead, we explored around the outside of 3N06A and found some mellow spots to hang out for a bit. Lytle is beautiful when the water is flowing fresh from the rain.
On the way out, there was a crazy bottleneck of traffic, so if you’re planning to visit soon, make sure you get there early.
