Inclusive assessment requires designing for students with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives and considering not only how to create equitable learning opportunities, but how to provide students with the support they need to allow for equitable learning outcomes. Whether teaching traditional face-to-face classes or online, one of the most challenging questions instructors consistently face is, “How can I design assessments that allow all of my students to demonstrate mastery of course objectives?”
During this session, moderated by Dr. Lorie Johnson-Osho, Director of Faculty Diversity and Development, an interdisciplinary panel of experts from humanities and social sciences disciplines will discuss best practices, their experiences, and strategies related to creating inclusive assessments. At the end of the session, panelists will address questions from audience members.
