As TfL have proudly boasted, this new bus has the most advanced and 'least polluting' diesel hybrid propulsion system yet devised. But, as the film shows, if reducing urban air pollution was really seen as being important there is a solution which could result in the NB4L being as 'clean' as Croydon's trams... which means no tailpipe pollution at all - something which would represent a real breath of fresh air.
re: CCTV surveillance cameras; "inspired" by events in Walthamstow as experienced by Austrian tourists photographing buses a few years ago and that when Croydon's Tramlink was built the enabling legislation explicitly prohibited ordinary people from using their own cameras at Tramlink stops, although it permitted the media and official CCTV cameras to be used.

Added May 2013:
Some comments have suggested that I am going too far with respect of air pollution and my suggestion that diesel hybrid buses are still 'too polluting', with (as technology stands today, May 2013) trolleybuses being the only true bus solution to air pollution.
In my defence, I suggest visiting these webpages....

UK air pollution: why are we only now waking up to this public health crisis?

A couple of snips from this newspaper article:
The latest figures suggest 29,000 people die prematurely from it every year in Britain, twice as many as from road traffic, obesity and alcohol combined, and that air pollution is now second only to smoking as a cause of death.
In 2011, the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee calculated that living in an air pollution hot spot could shave nine years off the lives of the most vulnerable people. It concluded that it cost Britain £6-19bn a year, or up to 17% of the total NHS budget, and that 15-20% more people died prematurely from it in cities with high levels of pollution than those in relatively cleaner ones.

My letter which was sent to every elected member of the Greater London Authority, Mayor Livingstone, my MP and every elected member (plus some senior officers) at the London Borough of Redbridge. To avoid delays in the postal system, as well as minimise costs, most letters were hand delivered to County Hall / Ilford Town Hall.
Every letter was personalised to the recipient, including on pages three and four where their correct job functions were mentioned.
Over 400 letters!
