In this project, we will measure distance using an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor and an Arduino. The ultrasonic sensor works by sending an ultrasonic pulse and measuring the time it takes for the echo to return after bouncing off an object. Using this time difference, we can calculate the distance to the object based on the speed of sound.
Components Required:
Arduino Board (Uno, Mega, or Nano)
HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor
Jumper Wires
16x2 LCD (Optional for display)
Working Principle:
1.The HC-SR04 sensor has two main pins:
Trigger pin: Sends an ultrasonic pulse (soundwave).
Echo pin: Receives the reflected wave.
2. The Arduino measures the time delay between sending and receiving the pulse.
3.Using the formula:
Distance=TimexSpeed of Sound/2
