Two Skar 12s. 500W RMS each. Downfiring. I did this because I have two 5 year olds who ride back there so didn't I want the subs exposed.
Here is my setup: (Keep in mind my F150 came with the 8 speaker B&O setup.)

Subs were wired to 1 ohm final at the amp. Great improvement over stock at a very mild cost. Maybe $600 all in.
To really notice the difference, use a good set of headphones/earbuds and listen to the youtube version of this song and this one back to back to note the difference in the bass output. Also note, I had the gain set at maybe 10% for this. It was a very big improvement over stock. I only ran a power wire to the amp, ground, and remote power on from the passenger side fusebox. The SSG adapter just intercepted the signal from the factory sub and fed it to the aftermarket amp. If you have installed stereos before, this is like less than an hour job.
