Not to be confused with the Embassy Suites Mag Mile on Columbus Drive. These used to be Dovers with Traditional Fixtures, now it's modded by Kone with Generic Fixtures I think. These elevators require a keycard to access the guest floors and it utilizes the mag-stripe reader. In the first part of the video, you'll see a couple guests struggling to go to their floors because of the crappy card reader. I had to cut a small part in the middle of the video because: 1. I talked in response to the gentleman asking me what am I doing here. Before that, you'll hear him ask me if I'm staying at this hotel. He's another guest, not an employee by the way. 2. I accidentally got a lady's face on camera (also a guest). This video will feature a ride in all four cabs, but not a full round trip in all of them, by request from Endor1024
What did I think of this? The overall cab design and button panels are great. However, the operation can be a little better. In one cab, the ride was pretty bumpy while the others run pretty good. Another suggestion is to make the card readers RFID just like all the other hotels I've seen so it's easier for guests to access their floors.
