paʔqʷuyḿxʷ (to go sightseeing, look at the land)

Описание: paʔqʷuyḿxʷ (go sightseeing, look at the land) is a short documentary in which Jerry Voght shares his knowledge of the large network of trails which historically connected all nɬeʔképmx communities. As resource extraction, roadways, and cities changed the landscape and settler lifestyles and jobs changed the way people engaged in seasonal rounds and migrations, these trails fell out of use for a majority of people. We hope that paʔqʷuyḿxʷ inspires community to begin to reconnect with these old relationships with the tmixʷ, talk to one and other and share knowledge, and return to these trails!
