How Eyelid Shape Can be Affected by Malar Implant Removal, and How to Avoid and Treat It

A lady had malar implants removed from her lower eye area, but after the procedure she said the shape of her eyes changed. She says one of her eyes is tiny and does not fully open at the lower eyelid, while the other is big and fully opens at the lower eyelid. She wants to know what caused this, whether it be the doctor’s error, or scar tissue, and wants to know what can be done to fix it.

New York Oculofacial plastic surgeon Amiya Prasad, MD reviews her photo and concerns in this video, explaining the possibilities of changes in the lower eyelids due to surgical procedures:
