Everyone’s been obsessing over live-action Robin this week, but honestly? The One Piece fandom is missing the real standout. Because the best-executed character in the live action isn’t a Straw Hat and it’s not Crocodile either. It’s Mr. 3. And that sounds crazy until you actually think about it. David Dastmalchian didn’t just play Mr. 3, he became him. The smug confidence, the awkward menace, even the weird charm that makes Mr. 3 memorable instead of forgettable. What really blows my mind is that the live action somehow skipped giving Sanji his iconic swirly brow. Yet absolutely nailed Mr. 3’s ridiculous candle-shaped hair. That level of detail shows intent. And if this is how well they handled a side villain, it raises a dangerous question, what happens when they reach characters who actually matter to the endgame?
