Hi! I made this video for a friend, but I am sharing it here. Unfortunately I didn't have time to make this super in depth or with voice over, but it goes over the general techniques I've been using to create hair in second life. I use Maya, but similar techniques could work in other software. I don't finish an entire hair, only show enough to get the basic understanding and how to fix the alpha glitching. There are lots of different techniques for modeling the hair cards which I don't show here. I also don't include information about rigging here, which is it's own topic. Assuming basic knowledge about 3d software and how to upload models to second life.
