Originally from Barcelona, Alex's music springs from an inspiring four-year self-discovery journey starting in 2012 and taking him through Latin America and South Africa, where he connects with musicians from different musical roots that permeate his music with a unique and regenerating energy. In 2014, he landed in Cape Town, South Africa and met musician Yannick Meyer, with whom he formed a heartfelt brotherhood. Together, they started an ‘African psychedelic pop’ project called Native Young, joining with a marimba band from the townships of Gugulethu, Khayelitsha, and Philippi. This cultural and musical human exploration changed his life, inspiring him to explore his musical universe on his return home in 2016. He has been following David Hoffmeister on YouTube for the last ten years, and this is the first time he talks to David. Enjoy this wonderful joining where Alex plays three of his best songs from his album!
