Poilwa Village Famous Places | Sheep Farm | Ancient Stones

Описание: In this video, I explore Poilwa Village in Peren District, a beautiful and culturally rich village surrounded by mountains and forests. This journey took me through both Old Poilwa Village and New Poilwa Village, where I discovered fascinating traditions, historical stones, and local stories passed down through generations.

At Old Poilwa Village, I visited the village Morung, where the largest traditional bed used by the villagers can be seen. The Morung holds deep cultural significance in Naga history and represents the traditional way of life.

Two local brothers guided me around the village and showed several unique historical stones, each with its own meaning and story:

🪨 Luck Stone – In ancient times, forefathers would throw a stone onto a large rock. If the stone stayed on top, it was believed to bring good luck.

🪨 Rich Man Stones – These stones represent people who proved their wealth by organizing a Feast of Merit. The person would invite the entire village, pull a large stone into the village, place it publicly, and offer a grand feast. Each stone symbolizes one such wealthy individual.

🪨 Leech-shaped Stone – A naturally formed stone that resembles a leech.

🐖 Pig-shaped Stone – Another interesting rock formation that looks like a pig.
After exploring the history of Old Poilwa, I continued my journey to New Poilwa Village, where I briefly visited the famous sheep farm, an important livelihood activity for the locals.

This vlog is a small glimpse into the culture, traditions, and stories of Poilwa Village that many travelers rarely get to see.
