When the Empire razed his homeworld, Stauz Czycz vowed revenge. To prepare for this dark mission, Czycz implanted numerous weapons into his body and altered himself into a human. With a new identity as a bounty hunter, his reputation earned an invite to Darth Vader’s bounty on Han Solo after the Battle of Hoth. With careful planning, Czycz intentionally arrived late and launched a surprise attack on Vader. In response to the Sith’s defensive Force Push, Czycz launched a barrage of thermal detonators and unleashed the weapons concealed within his body. As they chewed through Vader’s armor, the Sith telepathically invaded the bounty hunter’s mind. Vader saw his heartbreaking past and burning desire for vengeance. In a surge of emotion, Czycz lost focus, allowing Vader to deliver a fatal blow. Though the damage to his armor was easily reparable, the encounter left Vader shaken, forcing him to reflect on his own sacrifices in the name of revenge.
