Hoover Police Department provided the latest in the case of an Alabama woman who went missing last week after reporting a toddler wandering down the interstate. It captured the nation's attention - as did her homecoming Saturday night.
During its Wednesday news conference, police shared what they said were the facts of the case. Apart from not finding a toddler, police said Carlee Russell's search history and actions don't line up with her narrative. Officials said Russell and her family have denied any further interviews with authorities as they continue to work on the case. At this time, police said they do not believe there is a public threat.
