A Soviet officer raises his binoculars to scan the frozen forest ahead. His battalion has been tasked with a simple mission: push through this sparsely defended Finnish position and continue the advance toward Helsinki. Intelligence reports indicate maybe 30 or 40 Finnish defenders. His force numbers over 4,000 men, supported by tanks and artillery.
