Описание: Shanghai is a one of the direct-controlled municipalities in China, i.e. the municipality is directly under the central government. Shanghai, the city of superlatives, has a population of around 23 million, 7 million of whom are itinerant workers. One of the main attractions of Shanghai is the Bund (外灘). Most buildings date from the colonial times and were built by Englishmen and Frenchmen for their branch offices at that time. Today, international enterprises, banks and consulates are housed here.
Pudong on the opposite side of the Huangpu River Pudong (浦东 新区) with its skyscrapers forms the contrast. Pudong, also known as the New Bund was founded in 1990 as a special economic zone and is now the high-tech and business location of Shanghai. Impressive is the 468 m high TV tower, the Oriental Pearl Tower (东方 明珠 塔).
In the evening, the brightly lit group of buildings and Pudong’s skyline are an invitation to take a stroll along the harbor boardwalk. This is where young and old meet to enjoy the light and play of colors.

Shanghai ( 上海) in China ist eine Regierungsunmittelbare Stadt, d. h. sie untersteht direkt der Regierung. Es ist die Stadt der Superlative, an die 23 Millionen Einwohner, davon etwa 7 Millionen Wanderarbeiter. Der Bund (外灘) ist eine der Hauptattraktionen von Shanghai. Die meisten Gebäude stammen aus der Kolonialzeit und wurden damals von Engländern und Franzosen für ihre Niederlassungen gebaut. Heute sind hier internationale Unternehmen, Banken und Konsulate untergebracht.
Den Kontrast bildet das auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Huangpu Flusses liegende Pudong (浦東新區) mit seinen Wolkenkratzern. Pudong,auch als Neuer Bund bezeichnet, wurde 1990 als Sonderentwicklungszone gegründet und ist heute der High-Tech und Wirtschaftsstandort von Shanghai. Beeindruckend ist der 468 m hohe Fernsehturm, der Oriental Pearl Tower ( 東方明珠塔).
Abends laden die hell erleuchteten Fassaden am Bund und die Skyline von Pudong zum Spazieren an der Uferpromenade ein. Hier trifft sich Jung und Alt um sich am Licht- und Farbenspiel zu erfreuen.
