Scar-Lead Salvation is a sci-fi roguelite third-person shooter developed by Compile Heart and Neilo, and published by Idea Factory International. You play as Willow Martin, an amnesiac soldier who wakes up in a mysterious military facility swarming with hostile mechanical enemies. With no memory of who she is or how she got there, Willow must rely on a cryptic AI companion—though whether it’s friend or foe is unclear.

The gameplay loop is built around procedurally generated levels, meaning each run is different. When Willow dies, she loses all her equipment and starts over, but gains insight into the facility and her past with each attempt. Combat is fast-paced and tactical, featuring a variety of weapons, status effects, and a unique Exo Force system. Build up enough Exo Force and you can trigger Onslaught Mode, granting temporary invincibility and devastating power.

Think Returnal meets anime aesthetics, with a heavy emphasis on trial, error, and uncovering hidden truths. The game is currently available on PS4, PS5, and PC, and it’s set to launch on Xbox Series XS on September 2, 2025.
