The A525 is a relatively long 3-digit road, running for 73 miles / 117km, from Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire to Rhyl on the North Wales coast, via the cities of Wrexham and St Asaph. Whilst the A525 often provides the main route between adjacent settlements, it's highly unlikely to be the most efficient route for a longer journey - there being many faster, more upgraded routes in parallel. Close to the Cheshire/Shropshire boundary between Whitchurch and Audlem, one branch of the route from the A525 to/from the A530 is the A5015, one of the very shortest numbered A-roads in the UK.
This video shows a northbound journey along the A525, from the A494 at Ruthin to the roundabout with the Ruthin North Link Road on the edge of town.
