Here's one of my favorite love songs, in the country music category, "Long, Long Time," recorded by the young country artist, Mindy McCready. This song belongs to the album "Mindy McCready: Super Hits," which was released in January of 2000. My three other favorite songs from Mindy are "You'll Never Know," "Oh Romeo," and "Ten Thousand Angels," which also can be found in the same album.

"Long, Long Time" is actually a classic love song that was first recorded and made famous in 1970 by one of the hottest female artists of the 70's, Linda Ronstadt. "Long, Long Time" earned Linda her first Grammy nomination (for Best Contemporary Vocal Performance/Female).

"Long, Long Time" is a tearjerker, a sad love song, written for the lonely hearts... living in the memory of a love that never was... Listen to the melody and the lyrics and you'll know what I mean--they are "hauntingly"...good.
