Van Nuys: Truck Crash Leaves LAFD Scrambling to Contain Fuel Leak Along Sherman Way.

Описание: LAFD and LAPD Valley Traffic officers responded to a major two-vehicle collision in the 14600 block of Sherman Way just before 11:30 p.m. Friday. The crash involving a large truck and a pickup left the smaller vehicle demolished and triggered a significant fuel leak. Firefighters worked quickly to dig up dirt and grass from a nearby sidewalk to create a makeshift dam, successfully stopping the flow of fuel from entering the storm drains. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries, while the truck driver was assessed at the scene. LAPD closed the roadway for several hours to facilitate the cleanup and investigation.
