The DP World Tour stays in South Africa this week as Leopard Creek Country Club plays host to the Alfred Dunhill Championship 2025. Louis Oosthuizen ended a five-year wait for his tenth DP World Tour victory last year and returns again to defend his title. The 2010 Open Championship winner went on to claim victory a week after in the 2023 AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open making it a brilliant two-win year on Tour. He is also looking to become the third player in the event’s history to successfully defend their title. Charl Schwartzel achieved the feat in 2012 and 2013, while Spain’s Pablo Martin did so in 2009 and 2010. Erik van Rooyen will also be in the field this week. He's claimed seven top-20s this season, including 2T at the Cognizant Classic, 4T at the Myrtle Beach Classic and 12T at the Irish Open in September. He’s looking for his third win on the DP World Tour. Thriston Lawrence will also be at Leopard Creek this week. He finished off the 2024 season with nine top-10s, including 2T at the Dubai Invitational, second place at the Betfred British Masters and 2T at the BMW PGA Championship in September. The South African has taken that form into the new season claiming 14T last week at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. Others to look out for are Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Aldrich Potgieter and Tom McKibbin.
