This is a scratch built R/C model Lost In Space chariot added to the top of a Kyosho Blizzard tracked running gear, and built by Bill Hedges. The parkas and the curtains were sewn by Rita Lane. It was inspired by one that Steve Dixon did many years ago in which he also used a Kyosho Blizzard. The base is wood, the frame is soldered square brass tubing, covered with clear plastic windows, the curved ones which were vacuum formed. A Polar Lights B9 robot was added to it, and in the show, the full size robot was also split so it could fit in the chariot. During the filming of the show, a miniature of the full size chariot was built for special effects scenes and was about the same size as this model but it was pulled by wires.
