About Galgibaga Beach

Galgibaga beach is around 56 kms away from Colva and 9 kms from the Palolem beach towards the Karwar side. This beach is among one of the three beaches of goa that serves as a nesting ground for Olive Ridley Turtles every year, a protect species of turtles and hence also got the nickname as “turtle beach”

The coast line of this beach, which is around 1.7 kms is covered with pine trees. Unlike the other beaches of goa, this beach doesn’t have any major beach huts for accommodation or any beach shacks serving food, except one or two.

if you wish to take a time out for yourself and hangout at leisure, this is the perfect beach to visit.
The sea is very shallow and rough here and most of the beach is no swim zone.

This beach has a nice backwaters feel to it as the Galgibaga river merges into the sea at this beach.
