Massive Serpent Shadow

During the spring equinox, thousands of visitors gather to witness the phenomena of the light and shadow movements, like the serpent that descends upon the steps of the Castillo Pyramid. It looks like a 120 ft length snake is creeping downstairs until it joins the serpent’s head at the bottom of the stairway. Equinox in Chichen Itza is truly a dramatic display of Mayan Astronomical knowledge, stunning architecture and incredible geometry.
