Sunday morning sunrise drive though the downtown center (Centro) of Sao Paulo, a megalopolis with more than 30 million inhabitants, known for its skyscrapers, the size of its helicopter fleet, its architecture, gastronomy, severe traffic congestion, and unreliable weather. Centro is where you find much of the best of the architecture of Sao Paulo. There are many baroque and neoclassical buildings, with some resemblance to those found in cities like Paris, Vienna and even Buenos Aires. I can't believe this isn't more of an international destination. I have never experienced a city like this before!
