The Tiger Division of the Indian Army has revived the Tawi Bridge (Bridge No. 4), which was badly damaged during the recent floods, cutting off communication and isolating communities.
Army engineers constructed a 110-foot-long Bailey bridge on the eastern approach, tackling collapsed roads and limited working space. Remarkably, the bridge was completed in just 12 hours on August 29.
This swift action has restored vital connectivity for the people of Jammu.
