The project has been inaugurated by Narendra Modi on 8 March 2026 at Deepali Chowk, Burari Road near Sant Nirankari Mandal, Delhi. With this new expansion of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation network, several areas of North and North-West Delhi will now get better metro connectivity. The Magenta Line continues to expand and plays an important role in connecting different parts of the city with modern and eco-friendly metro services.
