《泱泱国风》音乐会是由中国著名指挥家陈燮阳领衔指挥、苏州交响乐团演奏的大型交响乐音乐会。本场音乐会以交响乐的形式演奏了中国当代作曲家自改革开放以来的代表作《壮士行》《姑苏人家尽枕河》、《海霞》组曲、《红梅随想曲》，且将二胡等中国民乐巧妙地融合在交响乐演奏中，体现了中西合璧的特点。

The concert “Elegance of Chinese Music” is a large-scale symphonic concert conducted by Chen Xieyang, a famous Chinese conductor, and performed by Suzhou Symphony Orchestra. The concert performed the representative works of contemporary Chinese composers since the reform and opening up in the form of symphonic music, such as Epic of the Warrior, Life on the Riverbanks of Suzhou, Haixia Suite and The Red Plum Caprice Erhu Concerto. What’s more, the concert skillfully integrated erhu and other Chinese folk music into the symphonic performance, reflecting the characteristics of the combination of Chinese and Western music.

SUZHOU SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

苏州交响乐团成立于2016年，由来自20个国家和地区的70多位优秀乐手组成，是一支年轻但发展迅速的职业交响乐团。在中国著名指挥家陈燮阳和许忠的带领下，成功举办了多次大型音乐活动及国际音乐赛事，架起了江苏与世界文化的沟通桥梁。

In 2016, the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra (SZS) was founded. Composed of more than 70 outstanding musicians from 20 countries and regions, SZS is a young and professional symphony orchestra which is rapidly evolving. Under the leadership of famous Chinese conductors Chen Xieyang and Xu Zhong, SZS has successfully held many large-scale musical events and international musical competitions, which has prepared the way for cultural exchanges between Jiangsu and other areas around the world.


2017年苏交首度走出国门，在法国迪耶于兹、德国萨尔布吕肯成功演出。2019年2月应中国常驻联合国代表团邀请，苏交赴纽约联合国总部演出。这是联合国首次在中国春节时段举办音乐会，也是年轻的苏交凭借过硬综合实力在世界音乐舞台发声的体现。2019年7月，苏交随江苏省原创歌剧《拉贝日记》前往柏林国家歌剧院、汉堡易北爱乐音乐厅和维也纳罗纳赫剧院演出。苏交致力于中西音乐艺术融合，每年都在中国国内举办大型音乐活动，促进了江苏与国际文化艺术的交流与融合。

2017 witnessed SZS's first-ever overseas performances in Dieuze, France and Saarbrücken, Germany.SZS performed at the UN Headquarters in New York in February 2019, the first time for the United Nations to hold a concert during the Chinese Spring Festival. It also demonstrates that the young SZS has made its voice heard on the world music stage through its magnificent comprehensive capacity. In July 2019, SZS performed the Jiangsu original opera, “The Diary of John Rabe”, at the Berlin Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Hamburg Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall and Ronacher Theater in Vienna. Committed to the integration of Chinese and Western music and arts, SZS holds large-scale musical events in China every year, promoting the exchange and integration of Jiangsu and international culture and arts.
