A metal rendition of Amen from Medieval 2.
This was always one of my favorite tracks from Medieval 2. Something about it just felt like it was ushering you into another world. Its serenity is such a contrast to the way life was actually lived in this time period. I also just love Gregorian chants.
This is also a redo of an old cover I had done long ago. It was actually the last one I did before my very long hiatus, so getting it redone was pretty high priority on my list. Fun fact, I actually finished and redid this one at the same time that I redid “Destiny”, which was well over a year ago. I don’t really know why I waited so long to release this one, it just kinda happened that way.
As far as the music itself this is a fairly simple one EXCEPT for the acoustic guitar part in the middle. I practiced the CRAP out of that part for days to make sure I got it right. And doing all these covers by ear is pretty tough sometimes. It is definitely making me a better guitar player and arranger, that’s for sure.
