Part of the "Re-Earth" program of Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Limited (ABFRL) ensures a corporate-wide commitment to earn LEED certification for each of its garment manufacturing facilities. One of them is the LEED Gold "Fashion Craft" factory located near Bangalore in Anekal.
At the Fashion Craft factory, 1300 employees, 90% of them women occupy a space of more than 1lakh 30 thousand square feet. They produce about 11,000 shirts each day. Apart from various measures taken for efficient resource management of energy, water and waste management, meticulous care is taken to ensure sustainable manufacturing processes as well.
