The DS N°8, also pronounced “Numéro Huit,” is DS Automobiles' new electric flagship — a mid-size luxury crossover SUV blending avant-garde design, high performance, and refined comfort.

Launch & Heritage: Unveiled in December 2024 and entering production in April 2025 in Melfi, Italy, the N°8 embodies DS’s move into premium all-electric mobility.

Design & Styling: Inspired by the DS Aero Sport Lounge concept, the N°8 merges sleek fastback proportions with sculpted, fluid surfaces and aerodynamic precision (coefficient of drag 0.24). Notable design features include flush door handles, active air flaps, duo-tone bonnet via solvent-free Paintjet process, and a striking V-shaped LED light signature.

Powertrain & Performance: Available in three electric variants:

230 hp FWD (74 kWh)

245 hp FWD Long Range (97.2 kWh)

350 hp AWD Long Range (97.2 kWh)
These deliver up to 750 km (WLTP) electric range, a 0-100 km/h sprint as low as 5.4 s, and a top speed of 190 km/h.

Technology & Comfort: Inside, the N°8 oozes luxury with Nappa leather (vegetable-tanned), Clous de Paris embossing, pearl stitching, ambient lighting, and massaging heated/ventilated seats with neck-warmers. The cockpit provides unmatched acoustic comfort, featuring FOCAL’s 14-speaker 3D audio system with a 690 W amp.

Connected & Intelligent: The 16-inch “floating” display runs the DS IRIS System, which integrates ChatGPT-powered voice assistance, real-time navigation, EV routing, remote control, and battery preconditioning. Optional 22 kW AC and fast DC charging support Vehicle-to-Load capabilities.

Prestige: The DS N°8 made history as the first electric presidential car of France, used by Emmanuel Macron during the Armistice Day celebrations in May 2025 — featuring bespoke details like Sapphire Blue paint, illuminated tricolor grille, and custom upholstery.

Luxury Ambition: DS aims to elevate the N°8's interior to compete with ultra-luxury peers like Bentley and Rolls-Royce, positioning it as a "Louis Vuitton of the auto industry" with unmatched craftsmanship and materials.
