I’ve been asked this question more times than I can count, let’s test it out!
Most of the time firing .22 shorts out of a .22LR is just fine as long as it is in some type of closed action as the casings are much shorter and generally produce much less power. Useless in semi autos but most of the time can function in tube fed lever actions, revolvers and bolt actions. Albeit with sub par accuracy.
