Kristi Noem touts DHS's first year of operations at Border wall in Arizona

Описание: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Border Patrol officials on Wednesday celebrated one year of having the most secure border in American history under President Donald Trump.

"What we had going on in this country under the Biden administration was the greatest humanitarian crisis that we had ever seen in our history, and that it needed to be fixed," Noem said. "And the way that you fix it is you just enforce the law that you go out there and say the laws need to be enforced and they need to be applied equally to every single person, and that Americans come first because they're the people who have built this country."

Noem also condemned the Left, who "said it was compassionate to let millions of people come in unvetted and be subjected to murderers and smugglers and cartels and gang members."

"Was it compassionate to make Americans share their communities with criminals?" she asked. "Was it compassionate to encourage men and women and children to break the law and to put their lives at risk, knowing that they could be victimized along the way. And was it compassionate to demonize those federal law enforcement officers that took an oath to uphold the law and to keep Americans safe?
