The Travelers Motel opened in 1936, operated for decades until it was sold to the Downtown Project (DTPLV) in 2013. At that point the motel was closed, boarded up and eventually broken into multiple times by squatters.
In the back of Travelers motel, on 11th street, was Travelers Annex wing, only the two story building remains. The rest was leveled in 2019. Not sure why they kept the 2 story structure.
After filming this video, I witnessed a squatter wiggle and squeeze his way out of that tiny hole where the air conditioner is, on the side of the building. It looks like he set up a blanket to make it look like its sealed off.
Travelers motel will soon be torn down.
