Tarrega dedicated this fine little waltz to his son Paquito.
This fine piece is in the key of C Major with a central section in the key of G major with a return to the opening theme in the key of C. Although the origin and purpose of the majority of waltzes was to be danced , little by little they became 'character pieces ' being transformed in the end into instrumental, choral and even symphonic pieces not written to be danced too.
