The K9A1EGY, a self-propelled artillery version specifically designed for the Egyptian army, is on display, along with its ammunition supply vehicle, the K10 ARV. This is the first time the Korean 155mm K9 Thunder has been deployed to a country in the Middle East.
It is known that in February 2022, a contract worth 1.7 billion USD was signed in Cairo to supply K9A1 EGY self-propelled guns to Egypt. The agreement also includes the delivery of K10 ammunition resupply vehicles and K11 fire control vehicles.
