Описание: Europa is the smallest of the four Galilean moons orbiting Jupiter. It is the ice-covered moon, and under cracked and scarred ice is an ocean of liquid water that could harbour life.
The cracks in the ice are thought to be cause by the tidal effect of Jupiter's gravity. Plumes of water have been found escaping from the cracks into space.
You can see Europa and the other three Galilean moons using binoculars when Jupiter is visible.
