Visit to Khinaliq village from Baku, Azerbaijan.
Khinaliq village is the highest village & UNESCO Heritage site of Azerbaijan.
The village of Khinaliq is truly a hidden gem, with its remote location and unique architecture. The houses are made of stone and have flat roofs, which the locals use for drying fruits and vegetables. The village is surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery, and we spent hours hiking through the surrounding hills, taking in the stunning vistas and fresh mountain air.
You won't believe the journey we went on to Khinaliq village. It was seriously one of the most epic adventures of my life. We drove up these crazy steep and narrow roads, passing through some of the most gorgeous views of the Caucasus Mountains I've ever seen. I mean, it was like something out of a movie.
And when we finally arrived in the village, it was like stepping into another world. The houses were all made of stone, with these flat roofs that they use for drying all kinds of fruits and veggies. It was like the whole place was frozen in time.
But the best part of the whole trip was definitely the people. They were so friendly and hospitable, welcoming us into their homes to share meals and stories. And the views from the top of the hills were just insane. We hiked around for hours, taking in all the stunning natural beauty and fresh mountain air.
Oh, and we can't forget about the ancient mosque! It's over a thousand years old and has been preserved as a cultural monument. We got to check it out and learn about the history of the village and its people.
All in all, it was an unforgettable experience, and I would totally recommend it to anyone who loves adventure, stunning scenery, and getting to know new cultures.
