A Miserable Masterpiece | The Last of Us 2 Story Analysis

Описание: The Last of Us Part 2 is divisive, and my calling it a masterpiece alone is surely enough to bring the internet falling down on my head, but I loved The Last of Us 2 so much that I'm willing to face that anger because I can't not make a video essay discussing the story and explaining the ending. And so of course I'm going to do a critical analysis of all of the layers of this fantastic video game, from ludonarrative dissonance to avatar bias, from subtle storytelling to the way the game is an exercise in shifting opinions. I'm going to analyze and breakdown all of it. And yes, I'll even talk about the aspects of the game people hated, because as much as I loved the game, there's no denying it was miserable at the best of times, and I'm not surprised it failed for so many people.
