I get this question all the time. What should I do with my hands during a television interview? There is actually a right and wrong answer to that question. Some people use their hands to communicate their ideas. For some reason, they think flying their hands in front of their face or below their chin shows more enthusiasm for their thought. Wrong! Then there are other people who are so nervous to be doing a media interview that they stand straight with their hands glued to their thighs. Also wrong! Here's your answer: Your hands should be around your navel to offer an open, welcoming stance. If you choose to communicate with your hands, keep them by your belly button. In addition, don't clasp your hands tightly or create a triangle! Simply rest one hand over the other, or softly grasp a finger. You can get more media tips on www.michelleburdo.com
