The sixth edition of the Ghent Light Festival took place from Wednesday, January 31, 2024 to Sunday, February 4, 2024.The festival begins at 7 pm and ends at midnight. On Sunday, the festival starts at 6 pm. The festival is free. There is no fixed start or finish. You can start the tour anywhere you want. It is important, however, to follow the right walking direction. The tour is 7,2 km. The first edition of the extremely popular Light Festival took place in 2011. This was followed in 2012, 2015 and 2018. In 2021 the festival could only take place in the nick of time. The corona crisis was only more or less under control in November 2021, but because the event took place outside, it was decided to continue. In 2024year 600,000 visitors showed up, spread over five evenings.info
