President Biden delivered remarks at the White House. Israel declared war on the Palestinian militant group Hamas on Saturday after Hamas sent a barrage of rocket strikes and entered the country in a surprise attack. Since then, Israel has hammered the Gaza Strip, reducing buildings to rubble.
The Israeli military said Tuesday that more than 1,000 people have been killed in Israel. In Gaza and the West Bank, 830 people have been killed. Hagari said there are “hundreds of bodies of naturalized terrorists” and some Hamas terrorists have been taken and arrested.
